In response to Rhett Lawrence (reply function was not working): There were two camps after the Husker split. Bob and Lou Giordano; and Grant versus the rest of the world. Greg Norton was a steadfast friend to Grant until the end. He had nothing nice to say about Bob.

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been thinking of you and what great benefits I received by virtue of hanging with the JP crowd. I don’t know how it wound-up in front of me a few weeks ago, but there was a story about Killing Joke and what an immense influence they’ve had on music, and I’d never have heard of them but for you and the gang of ‘cool’ city folk. Requieum is a classic masterpiece I still can’t get enough of. Can’t say as I ever really got into Husker Du, but I just wanted to thank you for broadening my horizons!

Love it. I saw Greg with UltraBomb here in Portland last month and they were great. They played maybe half a dozen Husker songs, which was awesome (though almost exclusively Grant songs, and I wondered at the time if there was a reason for that). Hope to hell Greg will find a way to bring some version of this tour out to the west coast!
